Paul Wesley Phillips

Owner and Managing Member

Paul Wesley Phillips has been successfully involved in construction, real estate brokerage, commercial development, and residential development for over forty years.

Phillips has acquired, brokered, and developed over $300 million in commercial and residential real estate since 1978. He began his career as a broker in single-family residential home sales. In the 1980s, he started purchasing lots in other developer’s neighborhood subdivisions and then building and selling semi-custom and custom homes at a significant profit. After building and marketing almost 350 homes, Phillips switched gears in the 1990’s and moved from homebuilding to real estate development, buying larger parcels of land to create residential subdivisions featuring luxury houses built by other custom and semi-custom homebuilders.

Rapidly earning an excellent reputation as a developer, he soon began working for Dominion Homes Inc., responsible for all land acquisition. Phillips was also the designated broker for the Ohio franchise of Realty Executives.

This vast range of successful experience gave him the unique ability to deal effectively with a multitude of real estate development issues.

Since forming Wesley Development Company LLC in 2003 with his son Jason, Paul has continually created new real estate projects that continue to have a positive, useful impact on their surrounding communities. In many cases, through a related company, he has also handled the sales and marketing of these properties.

Today he maintains offices in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Dublin, Ohio, and is responsible for overseeing several significant development projects in both regions. His projects, such as The Summit at Chandler Heights, Trotters Gait, Rutherford Estates, Woods on Seldom Seen, Wyandot Ridge Wal-Mart, and the Shoppes at Riggs Ranch, have all been extremely successful. In an increasingly complex world of entitlements and financing, Phillips has been able to effectively and efficiently navigate the intricate layers of the development process through his positive interaction with various other professionals, using a variety of proven tools and practices.

Paul is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties, and the Columbus Board of Realtors. In addition to his professional duties, he enjoys flying, golf, and racing standard-bred horses.
